Build for the Way You Live

This is part of what I consider professional care in custom homebuilding.

My job isn't to see how many upgrades I can add to a house.

It's to help a homeowner understand what they're paying for and whether they're likely to receive enough benefit from it to make that expenditure worthwhile.

If a tankless water heater solves a problem for your family, let's consider it.

If a conventional system will comfortably meet your needs, there may be a better place in the house to spend that money.

The most expensive option isn't always the best option.

The best option is the one that makes sense for the homeowner.

Spray foam insulation has developed a reputation as one of those upgrades that automatically makes a house better.

But when we're building a custom home, I think we need to ask a more important question:

What are we trying to accomplish with it?

There are applications where I think spray foam can provide real benefits. There are others where a homeowner may spend considerably more money without getting the improvement they expected.
